Breast Reduction

In recent years there has been a visible change in the concepts of breast aesthetics, mainly in relation to breast volume. Currently, large breasts have greater value, which is why drastic reductions in volume have become less frequent. Nowadays, the goal is to reduce the size, trying to achieve an aesthetically acceptable shape, with incisions that are as small as possible and that can be hidden in the bra and in the inframammary fold. The aim is to adapt the breasts to the body proportions of each patient, also repositioning the areola and nipple. Reductive mammoplasty significantly improves the patient’s standard of living in relation to posture problems, difficulty dressing or playing sports and even in the emotional sphere. Generally the procedure is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia and sedation in selected cases.
