Mastopexy: Breast Lifting and Firming with or without Implants
Mastopexy is the procedure indicated to correct breast ptosis (sagging breasts). It is possible to use the existing breast volume and reposition it to improve the shape of the breast, without the need for implants. If there is not enough breast tissue for a good aesthetic result, the inclusion of silicone implants can be associated with the same procedure or in a second surgery. The scars are carefully positioned so that they can be hidden by bra and swimwear. Surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia, or local anesthesia and sedation in selected cases.
